About Emily Weintraub Fine Art
Emily Weintraub is a fine art appraiser specializing in American and European paintings, works on paper and sculpture. She is a graduate of Colby College with a dual major in Art History and French, and holds a certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts from New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (2009).

She has been actively engaged in the evaluation, research and buying and selling of American and European fine art since 1997, when she began her career at Childs Gallery in Boston. She went on to work at Kenneth W. Van Blarcom Auctioneers & Appraisers, South Natick, MA, and at Mercury Gallery in Boston for nine years.

Emily founded her private practice in 2009, and since that time she has worked on a wide range of appraisal projects on behalf of public collections, museums, and individuals. Appraisal projects have ranged in size from a single work of art to several hundred works of art, for insurance, charitable donation and estate tax purposes. Emily is the author of the article Boston School Paintings: The Collection of Dr. and Mrs. James R. Taylor published in Antiques & Fine Art magazine in the summer of 2010.

Emily Weintraub has successfully completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) examination (compliant through April 2019), the Congressionally recognized set of appraisal standards put forth by The Appraisal Foundation. Emily is an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, the premier national association of appraisers of fine and decorative arts.
